 Krebs Carhuff Architects, Inc. has just celebrated thirteen years in Tucson! Moving here in the fall of 1995 was exciting. The Wild West and our firm have grown, reflecting the growth in Tucson. Many opportunities have come our way: numerous charter schools, retail centers, office buildings, many additions and renovations as well as a variety of custom home projects.
KCA's work is diverse. We do not succumb to a style but work with the current style of a building if adding on, something we call invisible architecture, or we can totally transform buildings for a fresh new look. KCA listens to their client and works with their wishes and ideas. 3D presentations are the norm, so every one knows what to expect. There are no surprises.
We always get asked how a husband and wife can work together, especially in the tough field of architecture. We started out in 1993 in New York working together on residential projects on the side right after we were married. We have been working under the same roof ever since, but have split the responsibilities in such a way that Phil designs and manages most of the commercial and institutional work while Diane primarily works in the residential field of custom homes, additions, renovations, interiors, and exteriors. Our paths rarely cross during the average day, but it is handy to have each other around to bounce around ideas and if there are problems to solve. |
